Anti-wrinkle injections

Otherwise known as "Botox" which is actually a brand name of the medication used to get rid of wrinkles. At RNRC Aesthetics we serve Whitby with Botox as well as 2 other brands of anti-wrinkle "tox" to achieve a different outcomes depending on the patient's preference and desired look. Tox temporarily inhibits muscle movement that creates fine lines and wrinkles, as well as other not as commonly known treatment areas (ex. jawline slimming). This is a quick treatment with minimal pain that lasts 3-4 months.

Frown lines or "11's"

This is one of the most common reasons that bring patients in to start exploring the world of botox. These are often referred to as the frown lines, which we often make when we're focusing and thinking hard or when we're just talking to someone. These lines can often make people look angry and can create deep creases in between the eyebrows if left untreated. Tox prevents the muscle contraction that creates these lines and therefore prevents them from forming into what we know as "11's".

Forehead lines

The forehead lines appear when you raise your eyebrows upward. Tox inhibits the movement that creates the lines resulting in glowing skin that is crease-free and refreshed. Prevention of the formation of these lines are key, as once they become permanent wrinkles they can be tougher to treat and may not completely soften after tox treatments.

Crow's feet (outer sides of the eyes)

Crow's feet are the lines on the outer corners of your eyes that pop up when you are smiling or squinting. These start appearing on your skin in your 20's and are a natural sign of aging. Treating the crow's feet can help open up the eyes, make you look more awake and refreshed, and of course...soften or prevent the lines when you smile.

Jawline slimming

Create a slimmer jawline with tox injections to the masseter muscles on the sides of the lower face. This results in a V-shaped, tapered lower face that creates a slimmer look. It is especially helpful for patients who feel their face is too round and want to create a narrowing effect. This area is also treated for teeth clenching or grinding, and has been known to help with headaches.

Lip flip

The lip flip is a quick procedure that prevents your top lip from tucking in especially when you smile. This results in a slight increase in height of your top lip, as the muscle is now relaxed and is allowing the top lip to show more. This is best used as an addition to lip filler to prevent the curling in motion of the top lip when you smile. This same treatment also prevents the formation of smoker's lines (vertical lines above the lip).

It is important to note that this does not provide volume to your lips and does not act as a substitute for lip fillers.

Other not so commonly known areas treated with botox/tox are as follows:
Bunny lines (lines located above the bridge of your nose that are visible when you scrunch up your nose)
Chin dimples or orange peel chin (visible when you are talking/making facial expressions like frowing as shown in the picture above)

DAO or downturn of the lips (muscles that pull on the corners of your lips that can make someone look "sad" or angry)

Gummy Smile these are muscles that pull your lip up when you smile and expose your gums

Platysmal bands these are the bands of muscle that are on your neck that become more prominent as we age.

Hyperhidrosis or excessive underarm sweating to help decrease the amount of sweat production
